SUBJECT: Material Recovery Facility Operation
The York County Material Recovery Facility resumes full operation effective November 5, 2020. We appreciate your patience during the temporary COVID-19 related closure.
Please remind your residents of the items accepted for recycling listed below.
-Mixed Paper, Chipboard, Cardboard, Magazines, Office Paper
-Steel Cans, Aluminum Cans, Pans and Foil
-Plastic Bottles, Jugs and Jars with lids
Contaminated loads interrupt the operation of the MRF, risk other incoming loads of recycling being diverted to the landfill and are subject to the special handling fees outlined in the agreement.
You are welcome to tell residents that glass food and beverage bottles, jugs and jars are accepted in designated containers at the 16 Collection & Recycling Centers.
