Service Policies

Curbside Collection
All trash bags must be placed inside the trash can, and the lid must be able to close so trash doesn’t fall out onto the ground while the can is being lifted for emptying.
Recycling must also be placed inside of the respective can and NOT bagged. Note that cardboard boxes left at the curb will not be recycled (place broken down boxes in the recycle can or take them to a community Recycling Center for recycling).
Signature Waste will collect all bins set out for service by 6:00 AM EST or the night prior to service. Service cannot be guaranteed to bins placed out after this time.

Electronics
It is against the law for the Signature Waste to collect Computer Monitors, Televisions and Printers, as well as parts of any of these items, for disposal at County Landfills. These and similar items may not be placed in your trash or recycle cart.
Customers will be required to dispose of these items at any of the community Solid Waste Collection and Recycling Centers in their area.

Construction Materials
Any construction materials or items placed at the curb or in your trash or recycle cart by a contractor or homeowner, including plywood, bricks, concrete, metals, and roofing materials, will not be removed by Signature Waste. County facilities will accept only small amounts of construction materials.

Medical and Biohazardous Waste
Medical waste such as used needles, syringes, and lancets (“sharps”) must be disposed of with care to avoid injuries to sanitation workers and landfill staff and to prevent the spread of disease. Early Cancellation
Subscription account cancellations made within sixty (60) days of setup will incur a penalty of $25.00 for early termination. This fee will be debited against the final invoice.
Signature Waste does not impose account set up fees, cart delivery charges, administration fees, fuel surcharges, or processing fees. Signature relies on our exceptional customer service level to ensure the highest quality provided service and minimal turnover. Because of this, early cancellations exact a greater expenditure than accounts closed after the sixty day period.
If you are considering closing your account within the first few months of opening service with us due to service related issues – let us know! We pride ourselves on learning from our mistakes and improving the end service to you and would love to hear your feedback on how we can best make that happen.

Cancellation
Need to close your account?
Give us a call at 704.714.9400 BEFORE your last service day to close your account! Accounts are closed on your last day of regular service and cart(s) are collected by a separate truck after they are serviced so please leave them out once emptied and until they are collected. There is a charge for each bin not made available for recollection after an account has been closed. Once bin(s) are removed Signature Waste will prorate your invoice to your final service and complete the cancellation of the account.
Accounts paid through the quarter may receive a refund if closing before the end of the quarter. Accounts with an outstanding balance will be billed before the account can be effectively closed.

Missed Pickup
If it appears your address was missed for pickup on your regular service day by 4pm EST let us know!
Once you realize you may have been missed visit your portal. and submit a “Missed Pickup” request, call us at 704.714.9400, or email us at info@signaturewaste.com. Notification must be made within 48 hours of a missed pickup! Our dispatch team will investigate the circumstances surrounding your service and provide feedback on why the cart was not serviced and schedule a solution with you to have your missed pickup remedied. There are always options – but please note that should the missed pickup be the result of a late setout, blocked, improperly placed, contaminated cart, or a temporary credit hold, options may be limited.
